AI Policy

Policy on the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI):
The Religion and Policy Journal is committed to maintaining academic integrity and the originality of scholarly works. Therefore, the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, and similar tools) in manuscript preparation must be transparently disclosed by authors.

  1. AI tools may be used only for:

    • Improving grammar, spelling, or language clarity.

    • Summarizing text originally written by the author.

  2. AI tools must not be used to:

    • Generate ideas, analysis, data, or core arguments.

    • Write substantial portions of the manuscript.

    • Create fabricated citations or references.

  3. If AI tools are used, authors must include a disclosure statement in the “Acknowledgment” or “Methods” section, for example:

"The author used ChatGPT (OpenAI) to assist in language editing of this manuscript."

  4. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the entire content of their submitted work.
