The Journal of Education for the Language and Literature of Indonesia (JELLI) is devoted to advancing scholarly inquiry in Indonesian language and literature education. The journal prioritizes theoretical and empirical research that critically examines (1) pedagogical practices, (2) curriculum design, (3) language acquisition, (4) literacy development, and (5) instructional methodologies in the context of Indonesian language and literature teaching. It encompasses diverse areas such as linguistics, literary studies, and the didactics of Bahasa Indonesia, including the specialized domain of BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing: the Indonesian as Foreign Language) or Teaching Indonesian to Speakers of Other Languages. JELLI seeks contributions from educators, scholars, and researchers who engage in rigorous analysis and innovation in the teaching and learning of the Indonesian language, aiming to foster academic dialogue that informs and transforms educational theory, policy, and classroom practice in the Indonesian context.
