LAYANAN REFERENSI DI PERPUSTAKAAN TELKOM UNIVERSITY BANDUNG

Abstract

Reference services play a crucial role in libraries, especially in academic institutions. At Telkom University Bandung, such services contribute to fostering a culture of literacy and supporting the intellectual development of the academic community. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the reference services provided, focusing on the role of librarians, the systems used, and the utilization of digital facilities in assisting users to find relevant and reliable information sources. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive study method. The findings show that reference services at Telkom University are well managed. Librarians actively assist users, including through literacy classes. Although not all facilities such as those for individuals with disabilities are fully available, continuous efforts are being made in that direction. The guidance provided by librarians is responsive and aims to ensure that user needs are met effectively.
