Copyright

Authors who publish with Ars Sacra: Journal of Art and Religion agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0) that allows others to share, use, and adapt the work with appropriate acknowledgment of the authorship and initial publication in this journal.

  2. Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal’s published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository, personal website, or include it in a book), provided that proper acknowledgment is given to its initial publication in Ars Sacra.

  3. Authors are encouraged to post and share their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on personal websites) before, during, and after the submission process. This can lead to productive scholarly exchange and potentially increase the visibility and citation of their work (See: The Effect of Open Access).
