Ars Sacra: Journal of Art and Religion is committed to promoting open and unrestricted access to scholarly knowledge. In line with this commitment, we define open access as the immediate, free, and universal online availability of peer-reviewed academic content—accessible without financial, legal, or technical barriers—in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative.
Access and Licensing
All articles published in Ars Sacra are made available immediately upon publication with no embargo period. Readers do not need to register or subscribe to access, download, read, copy, print, distribute, or link to our content.
To ensure clarity and ease of reuse, Ars Sacra applies a Creative Commons license to all published articles. By default, authors agree to publish under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
Copyright Policy
Authors who publish with Ars Sacra: Journal of Art and Religion retain the copyright over their work. By submitting and publishing in this journal, authors grant us the right of first publication under their chosen open access license.
